Community Asks for an End to Violence

Community and neighborhood watch leaders seek an end to violence and retaliation crimes.
January 8, 2014 - The start of the new year brought with it the city's first homicide, claiming the life of Rashid Anderson.

But keep in mind, this is the second homicide in the city in less than a month and a half.

Just this past December, 37 year old Stevenson Jordan was killed on 23rd and German.

Community members say they have had enough of the violence and the retaliation to the violence.

Mothers Against Teen Violence founder Sonya Arrington whose son was killed four years ago on the same day as Anderson says fighting violence with violence is counter productive and detrimental to the community.
