January 12, 2014 - An Erie man accused of beating another man to death over a drug deal dispute has a degree of guilt hearing in county court Monday.

Last week, Robert Quick pleaded guilty to a general charge of murder, possessing instruments of crime, theft by unlawful taking and abuse of a corpse.

Quick is accused of beating 35-year old Aderian Page to death, wrapping Page's body in a tarp and dumping him in a yard near Pennsylvania Avenue.

By entering a plea, Quick avoided a jury trial.

A judge will determine tomorrow if Quick's murder charge will be in the first or third degree.

Depending on how the judge rules, Quick could face a maximum of 52 years behind bars or life in prison without parole.
