Juniors take on Kahkwa
After three days of action at Lake View for the Men's Match Play, it was the juniors turn to vie against one another at the historic Kahkwa Club. Qualifying and first round matches took place today with Meadville sophomore-to-be Zach Ford setting the standard with a field low 74. Ford's 4 birdie day earned him the 2nd overall seed in the championship bracket as 2012 winner Chris Kupniewski earned the top seed based on his defending champion status. Play continues Tuesday with morning matches going off at 10:30am and winners playing again at 2:30.
In the girls competition, it was Michaela Redinger earning the top seed with a 95. She earned bye in the first round as did Claire Orr as the second seed. The girls champion will be crowned following the afternoon match on Tuesday as will the boys 10 to 12 age group where Skyler Carr's 43 (9 holes) earned him the top seed.
