Tonight, Lou Baxter introduces us to an Erie high school teacher is who making a difference every day in the lives of young people at Collegiate Academy.



Mr. Brian Lasher teaches history at Collegiate Academy.
Being the son of an Erie surgeon, a medical career seemed likely, until one day he dreamed of teaching.

Brian Lasher said: "My first job was teaching ... 5 years in business."


He never did go to medical school, but instead developed a relationship with leaders in the Erie School District who believed his military and business experience and years of world travel, would be valuable assets in the classroom.
Today, sharing those experiences and helping students make sense of the world is his passion.
Student nominator Jacob says Mr. Lasher always goes above and beyond to help.
