Hometown Hero: Kevin Lingenfelter Jr.

Kevin has been in the reserves for 18 and a half years.
Kevin Lingenfelter Jr. is a first sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. A native of Erie and a graduate of East High School, Kevin has been in the reserves for 18 and a half years. With a tour in Iraq, two in Kuwait and some time in Afghanistan, he assists surgeons in the operating room in both his military and civilian lives.

Cathy Lingenfelter, Kevin's mom, says: "We have so much pride in him and what he does for our country and other people all over. He loves what he does. He loves people."

Kevin is continuing a long family tradition of military service. Now 37, Kevin lives in Alexandria, Virginia and has a son of his own. U.S. Army Reservist, First Sergeant Kevin Lingenfelter Jr., this week's Hometown Hero.
