Harold Ramis died this morning from complications of auto immune inflammatory disease.

Born in Chicago, Ramis is best known for his roles in the comedies "Stripes" and "Ghostbusters".

He also co-wrote "Ghostbusters” along with "National lampoon's Animal House" and "Meatballs"

Ramis directed such memorable comedies as "Caddyshack", "National Lampoons Vacation" and "Groundhog Day."

Harold Ramis was 69 years old...
