"A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops"

-Henry Brooks Adams.

Mr. Ellenberger puts his heart and soul into everything he does.  You can tell that he loves his job.  He always comes into class with a huge smile on his face ready to begin the school day. One of the reasons I really like Mr. Ellenberger is that he is so fun to be around. He is always looking for ways to make the day more enjoyable for me and my classmates.  He is a great influence and encourages me to be the best I can truly be. Another thing that I really love about Mr. Ellenberger is that he has patience with everybody and sees the best in everyone. Even though my classmates and I sometimes think we have a lot of work, I know its because Mr. Ellenberger believes we have potential that he doesn't want to go to waste. You would never know if Mr. Ellenberger was having a rough day because the side we see is his smiling side. He is also the fifth grade basketball coach for boys and girls at Chestnut Hill. He is such an encouraging coach for our school. He doesnt pay much attention to how good or bad we are, or whether we win or lose a game, what he cares most about is that we are learning the game of basketball and having a great time.  Mr. Ellenberger truly does deserve the Golden Apple award.
