July 2, 2014 - A long-time city employee is recognized by Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott as he officially retires from his post.

Jim Klemm is retiring after working with the city for 48 years, working under four different mayors.

He's been the city clerk since 1973.

Klemm says he's been thinking about retirement for the last two years and says he knew it was time.

Mayor Joe Sinnott presented him with a proclamation, and a rare honor, a key to the City of Erie.

Klemm plans on spending time with his family during his retirement.
