Knafler Bound Over to Court

An Erie man accused of stabbing another man and severely injuring him is heading to trial.

June 12, 2014-An Erie man accused of stabbing another man and severely injuring him is heading to trial.

Christopher Knafler is charged with criminal attempt at homicide, aggravated assault and possessing instruments of crime.
Investigators say Knafler stabbed Ike David Lentz in the stomach-causing a deep wound and breathing problems.
The incident happened in late April on 14th and Chestnut Streets.

Despite being stabbed, Lentz testified in court that he never saw a knife and admits that he had no problems with Knafler prior to this incident.

All charges against Knafler are now bound over to court.
Knafler's trial date has not been set.

He is currently being held behind bars.
