Maggie Watts

Congratulations Maggie Watts from Northwestern Elementary.  She was nominated by Emilee Swift.

My name is Emilee Swift and I am currently a third grade (student) at Northwestern Elementary School.

It was just a few months (ago) when summer vacation was ending and I was so nervous about a new school year.  I had heard that in third grade things start to get a little more difficult and I wasn't sure if I could handle it.

I was placed in Mrs. Watt's homeroom.  I was a bit shy when I first met her that day, but I left there with a smile on my face and could not wait to go back the next day.

I am nominating her for the Golden Apple because I do believe she is the best teacher.  When she explains things she is very specific and will not stop until we understand it.  When you are down, she is there ready to listen.  She lets us think outside the box, to use our imagination and tells us there is nothing we can't do.  She reminds us that there is always more than one way to do things and that it is okay to have your own opinions.

Mrs. Watts is a graduate of Edinboro University and has been teaching for 33 years.  She is very generous and respects everyone.  She encourages us and truly wants us to succeed in our future so she pushes us hard.

I think Mrs. Watts deserves this award because she truly loves her job.  She even told me that she arrives at 6AM to prepare for the day.  Please consider (Mrs. Watts) because I would love for you to meet her.

                                                            Sincerely,

                                                            Emilee Swift
