One Man Dead, Two Injured in Ashtabula Shooting

Police continue to look for suspects in a deadly afternoon shooting.
January 27, 2014 - An afternoon shooting in Ashtabula, Ohio leaves one man dead and two others injured.

The incident happened at 2106 Norman Avenue Monday afternoon.
Ashtabula police tell us two of the victims are men, and one is a woman.

Two of the victims were taken to Ashtabula County Medical Center, while one of the male victims was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say the dead victim appeared to be in his 20s.

While police are continuing their investigation, they say this incident could have been a home invasion, and say that at least one of the parties involved was apparently armed.

Police remained on the scene for hours, receiving assistance from the Ashtabula County Sheriff's Department, US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, North Kingsville police, and the Ohio Attorney General Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Authorities searched through the area following tracks from the scene of the incident.

Those tracks led law enforcement officials through the woods, where they found a piece of dark clothing.

Police also found suspicious tracks near an apartment complex on West 19th Street.

People who live in the neighborhood where this deadly shooting took place say they can't believe this violence has touched their neighborhood.

Police continue to look for suspects.
