The SeaWolves were dropped by the Trenton Thunder in the middle game of a three game series at Arm & Hammer Park 4-0.

Trenton got on the board in the bottom of the first against Erie starter Victor Larez. Slade Heathcott singled with one out and scored on a Tyler Austin double for a 1-0 lead.

In the second, Andrew Clark led off and belted a solo home run to right, his first, for a 2-0 Trenton lead.

Trenton added a pair of runs in the fourth on back-to-back home runs form Carmen Angelini and Clark for a 4-0 lead.

The four run lead would be enough for the duo of Michael Pineda and Francisco Rondon. Pineda, on Major League rehab from the Yankees, tossed six scoreless frames allowing two hits with two walks and four strikeouts to earn the win. Rondon tossed the final three innings, facing one over the minimum with five strikeouts.

The SeaWolves were limited to just three hits in the game. All three hits were singles by Hernan Perez, Tyler Collins and Luis Castillo.

The SeaWolves will look for the series win on Wednesday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. RHP Drew VerHagen (0-1, 1.50 ERA) takes the mound for Erie against LHP Nik Turley (6-5, 4.42 ERA).
