Will Jerry Uht Park Be Ready For Home Opener?

Lingering winter weather and deep frost create issues for ball park grounds crew.
Spring is here, the time of the year when we think baseball.

But this year, when it comes to the Erie Seawolves, Old Man Winter is preventing grounds crews from even getting on the field to prepare for the home opener.

Seawolves have their home opener planned for April 10th, 15 days from today.

But at this point they haven't been able to get onto the field to start prepping it for the season.
So far all they've been able to do is put up the nets and windscreens and the padding along the rails.

Usually by now they've aerated and top dressed the field.
They usually have been able to roll the field, but the field is still frozen, too hard to even roll.

Brandon Schanz id Head Groundskeeper and feels confident everything will come together and the field will be in great shape by April 10th.
