President Judge Ernest DeSantis accepted 52-year-old Jeffrey Selby's no contest plea.
Selby pleaded "no contest" in the brutal killing of girlfriend Mary Ann Smith.
That incident happening in November of 2012.
Selby's "no contest" plea means he is not admitting guilt, but he will not fight the charges that he killed his girlfriend Mary Ann Smith either.
Selby will serve time for the 3rd degree murder charge.
In exchange, the prosecution agreed not to pursue any other charges.
Selby's pre-sentencing is schedule for October 1st.
He could potentially serve 10 to 40 years behind bars.
