Erie Police Explorers Hold Recruitment Meeting

The program provides training in law enforcement
October 28, 2013- Young adults in our region are getting a chance to learn how to be police officers.
About a dozen young adults turned out to recruitment day for the Erie Police Explorers program.
The program is designed to teach fourteen to 21 year old kids the finer points of law enforcement as they prepare for their future as police officers.
Participants will be allowed to act as security officers during events like Celebrate Erie and parades.
The Erie Police Explorers meet every second and fourth Sunday in the Erie City Council chambers for their training and meetings.
The explorers have been training young adults since 1978.
