AUGUST 15, 2013- The State Treasury makes a payment to the Erie WIC Agency, allowing WIC offices to open back up in Erie County Friday.
The treasury paid more than 161 thousand dollars today to WIC.
This means that the 7 WIC offices throughout the county will be back and operating tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
Today, nearly 8 thousand people are without service and several employees are not working.
The WIC offices were initially waiting payment for 6 invoices.
The WIC offices closed Monday.
That happened because of a payroll problem with invoices in Harrisburg.
WIC officials say the Health Department claims there were invoice errors.
