Friends of Keith McGhee Reflect on His Life

His friends remember him as a selfless person who would do anything for them.
Just one day after Erie Police discover Keith McGhees body, friends are reflecting on his life and the impact he's made on all those he's met.

It was around 12:30PM Thursday afternoon when Erie Police found McGhee's body near West 19th and Peach Streets, covered in snow.

He had been missing since New Years Eve around 11:45pm.

Erie Police Chief Randy Bowers says he was at a party that he walked away from.

McGhee graduated from McDowell High School and was employed at New Motors.

His friends remember him as a selfless person who would do anything for them.

Taylor Smith and Jourdan Kemick have fond memories of him from Erie County Vocational School, and Neville Askins remembers many holidays spent with Keith.

None of them were with Keith on New Year's Eve, but they tell me they miss him already, but know his legacy will live on.

A memorial fund has been set up at PNC Bank to help offset the funeral costs and a fundraiser will be held Saturday at 3pm at 1505 State Street.
