Holiday Travelers Leave City Early

As a winter storm hits the area, some people are traveling earlier than anticipated for the Thanksgiving holiday.
November 26, 2013 - A winter snowstorm is hitting the north east.

It's an east coast storm that is making its way out to this area, and since it is not lake effect snow, everyone is getting hit.

The region is expected to get 4 to 8 inches through the night with some areas getting hit a little harder.

It's Thanksgiving week and more than 39 million people are expected to be traveling on the road this week.

Tomorrow is typically the busiest travel day of the year, but with this weather, some people are getting a head start on their traveling, while others are unfazed by the snowfall.
