Hunting Season Begins Monday

Hunting season begins tomorrow, and people are making last minute stops to get supplies.
December 1, 2013

Hunting season begins tomorrow, and people are making last minute stops to get supplies. The Erie Sport Store saw hunters grabbing some supplies Sunday afternoon. Sales associates have seen a busy few weeks of preparation, and tell us the ammo shortage could mean less hunters out controlling the deer population this year. Several people at the store tell us the “serious” hunters stock up on ammunition throughout the year to be ready for the season. However, Tom Gullifer with Erie Sport Store predicts there will be less people out hunting this year because many can’t find what they need. Gullifer also says they have seen many of the veteran hunters in lately, but also some new faces. Phil Palmer is a hunter who is pretty much all set for the season, but stopped in for a few odds and ends. He says we’re lucky to have a local store selling the hunting supplies, and is appreciative of the kind of costumer service and knowledge of the area they possess.
