When we think of ice, chances are you think of frozen water, or immigration and custom enforcement, but we want to tell you about ice that could help in case of an emergency. This is not new, but most of the people we spoke with did not know about ice in case of emergency. Those 3 letters can help in the event of an emergency. ICE is an acronym used for In Case of Emergency. If in the event you are incapacitated and cannot communicate with first responders, or even if you lose your cell phone, I-C-E can be very helpful. By simply adding those three letters before a contact on your phone, first responders, or police will know who to contact. The idea has been around for a few years and even though many people haven't heard of it. It's easy to do. Go into your phone, find a contact you'd like to be your emergency contact, and enter "ICE" before that name in your phone. One down side is that a lot of people lock their phones, so you are not able to access the phone book.
