Lynne Schnauber lives in Meadville and contracted Lyme disease on a canoe trip in 1985. Doctors didn't know what was wrong and nearly diagnosed her with MS.
Years later, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease, but so much time had passed, it has become chronic.
She has now been disabled for 11 years.
Some of the long term consequences include arthritis, neurological symptoms, Bell's palsy and drooping of the face.
