Scott Enterprises unveils a multimillion dollar downtown bayfront development project featuring retail, living and entertainment. The project is called Harbor Place and will be built in phases at the northeast corner of State Street and the Bayfront Parkway. Scott Enterprises purchased the 12 acres of prime bayfront real estate back in 1999. The family owned hospitality company is now working with Weber Murphy Fox to take Erie to the next level by developing Harbor Place. Harbor Place will be built in phases and features an extensive plan. That plan includes two hotels, a restaurant, town homes, apartments and retail shopping. Office space will also be included. In addition, a skywalk will connect the project to UPMC Hamot. A second skywalk is planned for the Bayfront Highway at State Street. A public park will include ice rinks and fountains. A light house made from a smoke stack will also be part of the scenery. The project will cost 150 million dollars.
