Mother Nature didn't stop thousands of people from taking part in the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.
Despite the snow, sleet and slippery trails, more than 5 thousand runners and walkers participated.
The Thanksgiving tradition was hosted by the Erie Runners Club.
Some participants chose to wear their Thanksgiving best, staying warm in festive clothing-dressing like mashed potatoes and turkey....
While others stuck to the normal running gear.
Organizers say there were people from 42 different states participating.
Officials say attendance records were smashed this year and the event has grown tremendously.
