We're continuing to do our part to stress how dangerous texting while driving can be with our collaborative "No Texting While Driving" campaign in North Western PA.

In an effort to get Fort Lebeouf High School students to understand the risks of texting while behind the wheel, State Police Trooper Steve Oler, along with attorney Eric Purchase, want you to know - once you are distracted, you put your life and someone else's life on the line.

Purchase tells us texting while driving may be the most dangerous activity you can do while driving. It increases the likelihood of an accident 23 times.
On average, when you text while behind the wheel, you take your eyes off the road for nearly five seconds. The distance you covered during that time could lead to tragedy.
