Park Restoration Offers Proposal to Conneaut Lake Park Trustees

The trustees owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes -- Park Restoration proposes using it's fire insurance proceeds toward back taxes.
January 6, 2014 - The Conneaut Lake Park Board of Trustees and Park Restoration LLC will meet tonight, talking about a plan to pay off back taxes and to rebuild and reopen the parts of the park.

Both parties are expected to talk about a proposal from Park Restoration, the group that leased and operated the Beach Club from the trustees.

The Beach Club was destroyed by a fire on August 1st.

The trustees owe hundreds of thousands of dollars in back taxes -- Park Restoration proposes using it's fire insurance proceeds toward back taxes.

Park Restoration's plan also calls for reopening the Water Park and Convention Center too.

In return, the operators want the trustees to a agree to a new 30 year lease and the temporary use of the now closed Fairway 12 Motel for hosting events, until the Beach Club is rebuilt.
