Pizza Shops Implement Safety Strategies

In light of a recent rise in late night robberies of local eateries, one local pizza shop says it has procedures in place to keep employees safe.
October 2, 2013 - Delivering pizza when the sun goes down can be dangerous.

We've reported all summer long about pizza deliverers and restaurants being robbed, as well as other eating establishments getting hit: just earlier this week, Chinese restaurant Jade Garden was the latest victim of a robbery.

At Yum Yum's Pizza, co-owner Tamara Sallot said they take extra precautions when delivering to keep both workers and clients safe.

They ride in unmarked cars, screen phone calls and sometimes require payment over the phone before making a delivery.

With these and other precautions, Sallot said for the most part, she and her employees feels safe.
