Several Agencies Working Together on Tall Ships Security

Officials say it's a massive undertaking for security because it's a water and land based event.
A handful of the ten tall ships have already made their way to Erie as final security preparations took place today along the Bayfront.
Tomorrows Parade of Sails kicks off the Tall Ships Erie event.
Organizers predict 60 thousand people will come to the event meaning law enforcement agencies will be extra vigilant.
The Tall Ships Erie event has been deemed a marine event of national significance, bringing together several agencies including the Coast Guard, the Pennsylvania State Police, Customs and Border Patrol and the Fish and Boat Commission.
Those individuals took a final walk along the Bayfront today at the different sites that will be occupied by the tall ships events.

Members of the Coast Guard will be on the bay directing boat traffic and creating a safe environment for recreational boaters and the tall ships.
Coast Guard officials say recreational boats have to stay at least 100 feet away from the tall ships.
Tickets are still available for the event at all Country Fair locations.
