Summit Township is experiencing a population boom, prompting the district to make way for more students.
Since 2000, Summit Township has witnessed a spike in people relocating to the township.
Officials say growth is preparing them to continue to build in various aspects.
According to census data, Summit Township's population grew by 4.6% from 1990 to 2000.
In 2010, the population spiked by 19.4%
This year, Fort LeBoeuf School District officials are accommodating the growing number of students.
Flexible boundaries were created this year-shifting some students to different elementary schools depending on population.
A kindergarten class was added at Robison Elementary, totaling at 4 classes.
In addition, district officials say there are very early preliminary discussions of adding a wing to Robison Elementary.
Summit Township officials say if growth remains consistent, they will have more than 8 thousand residents by 2020.
