Kathy Waller of Perry Elementary is this weeks Golden Apple Winner. Kathy was nominated by Trevor King. Trevor writes: I think Mrs. Waller is the best teacher a student could ever have. She really helps you learn a lot in only an hour period a day. Mrs. Waller is one of the nicest and most organized teachers that I have seen. She helps you a lot with your work individually to help you learn better instead of helping the whole class and you not getting the help you need. I like how Mrs. Waler can adjust her schedule to help a student, if you cant come for extra help after school she can take you during lunch or even during a special. Mrs. Waller has us each keep binders to keep all our things in so we can be very nice and organized. Unlike a lot of other teachers Mrs. Waller has the skill to keep the class under control with out having to yell a lot. The only thing that keeps me going in my day is knowing that I have Mrs. Wallers class in 3rd period and I can learn a lot of good algebra. Mrs. Waller has the algebra class have a different schedule and gives us more time to do our work because our work is harder than the other classes and that is good so we can get all of our work done. I get my best grades in math because if I need help on anything, my teacher is right there to lead me through it step by step. Like a lot of other teachers Mrs. Waller does not pile work on top of use to get done in a little bit of time. She will give us about one assignment to do all day and if we dont get it done in class, it is homework which is very fair.
