The Erie region’s latest unemployment numbers continue to decrease.
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry released the figures for the month of April on May 31.
The Erie Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) saw a decline of two tenths of one percent.
The local rate is now at 5.5% compared to 5.7% in March.
Year to year, the jobless rate is down 2.5 percent from April of 2021.
