“I just want to sing. And they have allowed me that opportunity to do that. I’m gonna leave before I start crying. But it’s been a blessing!” Fantasia Barrino, former Idol contestant said, “And I thank them for helping so many of these kids that have walked down this red carpet today.”
“I’m glad to be a part of the history. I’m glad to be a part of the legacy. And you know, I have fond memories of being on the show. It’s bittersweet to see it go. Did that just rhyme? That was like Dr. Seuss,” added Chris Daughtry, previous Idol contestant.
“I can’t believe that it’s been 15 seasons. I mean, season 1 feels like a lifetime ago to me.and it also feels like yesterday when I walk in and I see all the amazing idols that the show has produced. So, it’s surreal,” added former Idol contestant Justin Guarini.
Judge Keith Urban said he had really enjoyed his time on the show. “I’ve loved it. I mean there’s always hard parts where you have to you know, say goodbye to people and that sort of thing. But at the same time, I mean, we all have to hear that in life. I mean, I’ve had so much rejection that you just kind of rise above it. You just keep going,” said Urban.
