J.K. Rowling relaxing regular copyright permissions so teachers can read Harry Potter books to students online


In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, J.K. Rowling is encouraging teachers to post videos of themselves reading the Harry Potter books.

Rowling and her publishing agents say they are relaxing regular copyright permissions and granting an open license for teachers.

Kids around the world are at home while schools remain closed to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
