NewsMaker – Annual Multiple Sclerosis Walk, Kelly Tapper

Local News

Hundreds of people will come out this weekend to raise awareness and money for multiple sclerosis research.

A progressive disease with no cure, multiple sclerosis affects an estimated 2.3 million people worldwide.

Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised by the yearly walk. And, best of all, the money stays local, so it helps area residents and their families who are struggling with this debilitating disease.

Joining us to talk about this year’s walk is Kelly Tapper, Development Specialist with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society…

The Annual Walk MS is this coming Sunday, April 28th at Presque Isle State Park. Participants will gather at the Cookhouse Pavilion.  Check-ins begin at 10am and the pre-walk starts at 10:45, with the walk beginning at 11am. Walkers can take part in either a one or three-mile route.

If you haven’t pre-registered, you can do so the day of the event.
