3 Girl Scouts and Adult Leader Killed In Hit & Run Crash in Wisconsin.

4 Girl Scouts and an adult supervisor were struck by a pick up truck while picking up litter along a highway Saturday in Hallie, Wisconsin. 3 of the girls and an adult leader were killed in the incident, a 4th girl is listed in critical condition. The driver allegedly fled the scene but later turned himself in to police. Officials have said he will be charged with 4 counts of Homicide through negligent use of an automobile and other charges. 

The driver was identified as 21 year old Colton Treu of Eau Claire. 

Witnesses told police that all of the participants in the litter clean up were wearing orange safety vests and were closely supervised by adults. The pickup truck reportedly left the roadway and struck the group. 

The 4 Girl Scouts were all in the fourth grade at Halmstead Elem. School, not far from the crash scene.
