For nearly two decades, the Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership has worked alongside VisitErie in the Erie Intermodal Transportation Center. As both entities continue to grow, their office is becoming cramped. This has prompted the Chamber to look into a new location. So far, they have their eyes set on the third floor of the Citizens Bank building located at 12 and State Street in downtown Erie. VisitErie President John Olivers tells us that their organization has grown from just 3 employees 16 years ago to 9 1/2 employees today. “I have a number of staff working in cubicals that really should have offices when they’re dealing with clients and phone conversations, etc. So this is going to give us that opportunity to provide them with some more profesional office space. But it’s also looking down the road for the possibility of future expansion,” Oliver tells us.
The Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership has not finalized the deal yet, but they hope to move into their new location in the heart of downtown Erie in August.
