Former President of Edinboro University dies

The former president of Edinboro University has died.

Foster Diebold was head of the university from 1979 until 1996. During his tenure, Edinboro State College became Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

The Diebold Center for Performing Arts is named in his honor and he was inducted into the Edinboro University Athletics Hall Of Fame in 2006.

Foster Diebold died at his Miami Florida home. He was 85.
