An 18-year-old charged in connection to a woman’s overdose death enters a plea in court.

Today, Jaida Stewart pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter.  Investigators say she delivered the deadly dose of fentanyl that killed 21-year-old Olivia Askins.

Stewart sold drugs for 29-year-old Chester Carr while he was in jail.  A jury found Carr guilty of drug delivery resulting in death in this same case. Carr is now serving a sentence of 21 years and 9 months to 43 and a half years in state prison.

Stewart’s sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
