It was quite the celebration in Downtown Erie Monday morning.
The 2016 North Western Pennsylvania Area Labor Federation Labor Day Parade filled state street.
This is the second year the NWPA ALF put on the parade after nearly 30 years of no parade in Erie.
Rosann Barker, the director of the NWPA ALF, says more than 40 units participated in the parade, including a number of unions, community organizations and high school marching bands.
But she says the parade is important so people remember those who are members of unions, what they do and how they give back to the community.
