2017 County budget has no tax increase

Local News
The County Executive announces that the 2017 budget will not have a property tax increase.
Though increased expenses for Erie County and stagnant property taxes made for a tight 2017 budget.
Kathy Dahlkemper will not be adding any new county jobs, will be eliminating four positions and delaying the hire for five people.
Dahlkemper is also asking County Council to take 1 point 7 million dollars from the county reserves to financially assist Pleasant Ridge Manor which is struggling financially.
In this budget despite disputes in court the same amount of annual funding is set aside for EMTA.
With the announcement of the State Supreme Court decision yesterday regarding gaming revenue money, Dahlkemper says it would jeopardize 5.5 million dollars in the budget.
