Millcreek Township is receiving $22 million from the Water Authority sale. The township will receive an initial payment of $12 million, with the rest distributed over 10 years.
The supervisors held a special meeting hoping to gain constructive comments from residents about how the money should be used. Residents suggested using the money to repair roads or hiring more police officers.
Millcreek Township Fire fighters asked that some of the money is given to the fire departments.
The supervisors are still accepting comments by phone or email.
