An Erie woman is trying to become the youngest Erie City Council member at age 25.
Jasmine Flores announcing that she is running for city council on Monday and hopes to engage a younger group of voters. She says she wants to address the lack of family sustainable jobs in the city and is pushing for an Erie County Community College.
“As a 25 year old, I really feel underrepresented in our city, I feel like we are working really hard to try to make ends meet and it’s not achievable, we have lots of job growth that is minimum wage,” said Flores.
Flores will be having a meet and greet with Erie residents on Saturday from 7 to 9pm at the Erie Art Gallery.
