4.0 magnitude earthquake felt outside Cleveland

numerous calls flood 9-1-1 centers

9-1-1 centers in northeast Ohio were flooded with calls shortly before 11 am Monday morning by people wondering if an earthquake shook the area. The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed that indeed, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake was epicentered near the Lake Erie shoreline in Eastlake Ohio not far from Mentor. Although some shaking was reported, there is no known reports of injury or property damage.
