50th Annual Greater Meadville Day

The community in Crawford County is celebrating the 50th Annual Greater Meadville Day.  The Winslow Award Dinner was held at the Country Club in Meadville as part of the celebration.

Roger Willis, past President of Universal Well Services Incorporated serving as the featured speaker.  The Winslow Award goes to an organization, person, or industry that has contributed the most to the economic growth in the Meadville area over the last year.  

This year’s recipient is Elisabeth Smith.  Bill Bragg, President of the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County, says, “She is the President of Acutec Precision Aerospace. They are at a tremendous growth program right now that, probably in the next year… [will] go over 500 employees in the Meadville area.”

Bragg says the Economic Progress Alliance is adding nearly 100,000 square feet to Acutec’s manufacturing area in its business park.
