54-year-old man from Blairsville passes away after car hits tree on I-79

One man is dead after hitting a tree on the interstate.  

The accident happened just before 7:30 last night on I-79 near mile marker 162.  According to Meadville State Police, 54-year-old Gregory Black of Blairsville, PA was traveling southbound before traveling off the road and crashing into a tree.

Black was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Crawford County coroner.
