An annual tradition for the Sons of Lake Erie continues.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission delivering roughly 600 brown trout to the group.  Members will raise the young fish in tanks for five months, getting them acclimated to the Presque Isle Bay water.

Bob Zawadzki of the Sons of Lake Erie says, “We got a ton of volunteers who love to do this kind of work and they’ll feed them once a day, take care of and look at the mechanical stuff and away we go.”

The intention is for the fish to return to the bay once released, resulting in a good experience for the fishermen of Erie.
