The 72nd Crawford County Fair wraps up with a bang tonight after a busy week.

The demolition derby and free fireworks will close out a successful run of Pennsylvania’s largest agricultural based fair.

This years fair attendance numbers were down somewhat according to fair officials, who believe that Tuesday’s severe weather played a large part in a slow down in attendance.

“The numbers are a little low from last year but we had that great big storm on Tuesday. Of course, it wasn’t as bad as we thought it would be, all the newscasting said it was going to be a bad storm. It got cold and took away some of the people but if you look around today, we are really busy,” said Diana Perr, Crawford County Fair board member.

The demolition derby begins at 7 p.m. tonight in the main grandstands and the fireworks begins at 10 p.m.
