An Erie organization is stepping up to help the less fortunate today with a home cooked meal and free clothes.
The spanish 814 Street Dreams Car Club hosted a hot meal for homeless people or families or people less off.
They also gave away clothes that were donated by club members or friends, all for free.
The president of the club says they wanted to do this to help out the community in a time of need, especially as the colder months near.
Carlos Cartagena says, “Most of us, including myself, we messed up when we were young, but when we try to move forward, it’s always doors slamming in your face. We’re just trying to show that, you know, never give up. There’s always something else that you can do instead of going back to the street.”
Cartagena also saying they have a bicycle club, the 814 Little Dreamers Bike Club, to help provide things for kids to stay focused on instead of getting into trouble.
