The Erie County Medical Society hosted its 8th annual health fair at the Millcreek Mall.
Shoppers took time out of their day to learn how to perform first aid, and to receive information offered by a variety of health vendors. President of the Erie County Medical Society, Timothy Pelkowski, tells us, they wanted to “really focus… on this bleeding control in particular. Making sure that the public is aware of this national education campaign. Knowing that there are some life-saving things that can be done especially in these unfortunate active-shooter situations that occur in our society really on a monthly basis”.
Organizers say it’s important to host events like this to inform the public what resources are available to them in the area.
