A man charged in a 1999 murder will have to wait another week before he learns whether or not a judge will reconsider his sentence.
James House returned to the Erie County Courthouse today, nearly two decades after being charged with criminal homicide. Investigators say House shot and killed a man in the 1900 block of Glendale Avenue on April 8th of 1999.
House was a minor when he received a sentence of life in prison without parole. Now, his case is before a judge again to determine if he should be given a new sentence.
After a full day of testimony, the judge has yet to make a ruling. The judge is now scheduled to make an official decision on December 14th.
