A man serving time for rape will no longer be designated as a sexually violent predator.
Guy Dumas was sentenced to 38 to 76 years in state prison last Febuary.
He pleaded guilty to rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault.
The courts ruled the process to designate Dumas as a sexually violent predator was unconstitutional.
In a motion to remand, a judge ruled Dumas will no longer have that designation, but he will have to register as a lifetime sex offender.
